The HLKPM01 is commonly used in places where a microcontroller circuit has to be powered directly from AC mains. Most digital circuits operate at a voltage of 5V, this module can convert the AC mains to 5V with an efficiency of 70%. The module also meets the UL,CE requirements hence can be used in commercial products and should be free from ripple and noise.
However the module can source only a maximum of 600mA as continuous current, so if your circuit requires anything more than that then consider the HLK-5M05 module which can source upto 1A.
