A 5mm (T1 3/4) LED is the most common size of through-hole light-emitting diode. They feature a 5mm epoxy lens, run on low currents (~20mA), and are perfect for breadboard circuits, indicator lights, and hobbyist electronics projects.
LED Colors to choose from:
5mm bright LEDs in White, Green, Red, Yellow, and Blue
The 5 "millimeter" size refers to the diameter of the LED. For example, if you need to drill a hole in a box for your 5mm Blinky LED, the hole size should be 5mm, and you'd need a 5mm drill bit to make it. 5mm are the most common size you'll see, and they can be extremely bright!
