Core Operational Requirements
To ensure accurate counting and prevent premature gear wear, you must strictly follow these primary guidelines while using the NZ-1:
Workbench Mounting: The machine base includes three integrated mounting holes. It must be securely bolted down to a wooden workbench or solid table before operation to eliminate frame oscillations and uneven wire tension.
Counter Reset Protocol: Always push the reset lever to return the count to 00000 exactly twice prior to starting a new coil. This fully resets the internal mechanical counting gears to prevent teeth from slipping or miscounting.
Zeroing Prohibition: Never attempt to reset the counter to zero while the handle or spindle is actively rotating, as this can instantly strip the counting mechanism gears.
Lubrication Maintenance: Regularly apply a few drops of lightweight machine oil (such as ISO VG32 or standard sewing machine oil) to the designated main spindle oil holes to ensure smooth rotation and reduce gear friction.
