The RCWL-1605 is a compact, 2.8V-5V integrated ultrasonic distance sensor featuring an, omnidirectional integrated transceiver. It offers a 25cm to 4.5m range with 2mA current consumption, supporting GPIO, UART, IIC, and 1-WIRE modes. Its default mode is compatible with HC-SR04, ideal for robotics and proximity sensing.

Modes of Operation

  • The RCWL-1605 supports multiple interfaces, which can be configured based on the application requirements: 
  • GPIO Mode: Compatible with HC-SR04, it uses trigger and echo pins to determine distance.
  • UART Mode: Provides direct serial output for distance or temperature data.
  • IIC/I2C & 1-WIRE: Supports alternative communication protocols for more complex systems.
